IMPORTANT! Pay close attention to DATES and DEADLINES (see our dates webpage)

  1. New and Returning Students can register in person at the Registration Office (see office address, phone number and hours listed below)
     
  2. Returning students (only) can register online if they have their Student Identification Number (SID) and Personal Identification Number (PIN). Find more SID/PIN info here.

Advisors and Counselors offer a comprehensive array of services designed to assist you in reaching your educational goals. These services are available to all students, new or returning, on an appointment, walk-in basis or via email.

  SSCC ASSESSMENT / PLACEMENT EXAMS and SERVICES

All new students (face-2-face or online) must take the COMPASS or ESL/COMPASS placement test. The exception is for those with an official transcript on file showing completion of ENG101 (English Composition) and MATH102 (College Algebra) with a grade of at least 2.0. The Student Assessment Services administers the COMPASS or ELS/COMPASS placement tests. All 100-299 level courses require COMPASS scores in Writing (68) and Reading (77), except as noted in individual course prerequisites.
