All new students (face-2-face or online) must take the COMPASS or ESL/COMPASS placement test. The exception is for those with an official transcript on file showing completion of ENG101 (English Composition) and MATH102 (College Algebra) with a grade of at least 2.0. The Student Assessment Services administers the COMPASS or ELS/COMPASS placement tests. All 100-299 level courses require COMPASS scores in Writing (68) and Reading (77), except as noted in individual course prerequisites.
