A practical application course designed to give the students the necessary skills to be

1.	Communication - Use listening and verbal skills with clients and co-workers.
2.	Critical Thinking and Problem Solving - Evaluate service situations on an 
individual client basis utilizing problem solving skills
3.	Technology - Use appropriate cosmetology implements in all service areas.
4. 	Personal Responsibility - Use learned skills in safety and sanitary procedures 
both in personal and public health

At the end of the course the student will be able to:

1.	Permanent waving with both acid and alkaline solutions.
2.	All phases of hair coloring and hair lightening.
3.	Both types of chemical relaxing.
4.	Perform all safety and sanitary procedures involved in the above chemical 
services.
